Survival of the fittest

Hello

I’ve been a bit slack on the mix front over the last couple of months due partly to parental responsibilities and partly to the switch to laptop-based song playing. I’m operating a Darwinian policy with music at the moment, so the following includes stuff which will be eliminated from my set list based on natural selection.

First Up, an 80s electropop mix. Listening back to it the tunes I’m going to cull are mostly the more Southern European tracks. Germans shouting “go go go” seem to work better than happy Italians.

Next is some Disco stuff. I like quite a lot of this, but some of it is very hard to mix, so it will have to go. I’m liking the BeeGees re-edit at the end.

Third up is some odds and sods which may contain traces of music made this millennium. “Bahama Mama” is about as good as music gets.

Finally, a house mix that pretty much compiled itself. If I could drive and were being chased through a European capital city at high speed, this is what would be on the car stereo.
